Inspiration for Elizabeth Grace designs comes from a variety of sources. Judy loves to study fashion history and trends. She is also shameless about approaching complete strangers to chat about bags that catch her eye.
Judy sketches her concept and sews a prototype from heavy cotton or scrap leather. She then uses the sample to experiment with scale and durability and often recruits friends to test-market the design.
Creating the Pattern
The design is translated to heavy paper stock which is used to create a template.
The leather for Elizabeth Grace bags is sourced locally. Tuscan leather is of the highest quality and famous the world over.
Each bag is cut and assembled individually, by hand using traditional techniques and methods.
